ABOUT OUR CLUB Hayle Model Railway Club started life in 1993 and has been in continuous existence ever since. In late 2021 as the country was starting to emerge from Covid restrictions, a group of like minded club members embarked on a mission to reform, rebrand and modernise the club. As a result we are now known as Hayle Railway Modellers with a complete re-launch having taken place on 1st February 2022. We are a friendly, welcoming bunch and would love to welcome new members who currently range in age from youngsters right through to our oldest member who is 80. The Club is based in the old Cornwall Farmer's Building at Praze-an-Beeble which is situated between Camborne and Helston in West Cornwall. More information about our club rooms and how to find them can be found by clicking here The Club Room . We model in most gauges including 0, 00, N and 009 and currently have several layouts in completed form or under construction in our spacious club rooms. You can view some of our layouts on the Club Layouts page. We meet every Wednesday from about 2-30 to 9-30 and often at other times as well (such as late afternoon/early evening on Sundays). Indeed, members are free to come and go as they wish in order to work on specific projects. If you are interested in railway modelling (whether a seasoned expert or complete beginner, young or old or just want to chat) you are most welcome to join us. The kettle seems to be permanently on the boil for tea and coffee and biscuits. You are most welcome to pop over for a visit to see what we have to offer or, if you just require a bit more information, get in touch via the Contact Us page and we'll arrange a visit at a time suitable to yourself. |
